      Serhiy Salov

      NOT TO BE MISSED!

In the second half of the concert, Rachmaninov’s iconic Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by internationally renowned virtuoso pianist Serhiy Salov, opens up an inner space of rare intensity. A breath of light and serenity where doubt, fragility, and the human experience are transformed into rebirth.

Presented as part of the OSG’s 20th anniversary and in support of mental health, this concert goes beyond metaphor. Through the lives of Khachaturian, Beethoven, and Rachmaninov, each marked by hardship, it testifies to the power of music to accompany, soothe, and inspire healing.

      ANDREW PAUL MACDONALD

FOSE Director and Founder Leila-Marie Chalfoun is pleased to announce that a Grand Opera on "The Battle of the Patriots" will be composed by renowned Canadian composer Andrew Paul Macdonald and presented as a World Premiere on July 9, 2027, for the 18th edition of the FestivalOpéra de Saint-Eustache.

"On December 14, 1837, the village of Saint-Eustache was the scene of a bloody battle between the Patriots and the soldiers of the British Crown. Many Patriots perished in the village church, where they had taken refuge. Even after being bombarded and then burned, the building still stands today and bears witness to the fierce fighting that took place there, as historian Jonathan Livernois explains." "Berenice must leave Rome. Titus must let her go.

Between them, an impossible love and music that speaks where words fail.

Rita Strohl's sumptuous dramatic sonata, inspired by Racine, is at the heart of a program that explores the passions of Huré, Dvořák, and Smetana. An afternoon of rediscovery and emotion."
