Great review in ResMusica.com for our brilliant conductor Christopher Schumann appointed director of the Stuttgart Opera! “All are well served by the orchestra, conducted by the young Christopher Schumann, also permanently stationed in Stuttgart.
This performance, certainly, is part of a routine cover, and he alternates with Ariane Matiakh; the necessarily limited rehearsals certainly justify the limits of the work on orchestral colors. But here is an evening of real theater, without brutality, with well-balanced energy, which gives strong unity to the whole story.
What's more, and this is often decisive in opera, her direction helps the singers to give the best of themselves: here we hear a generous Carmen, who moves forward, and who gives her full place with emotion, without downtime and with real construction throughout the evening. »

The young Quebec conductor Étienne Lemieux-Després impresses with his dynamism and precision in conducting. Originally from Otterburn Park, Étienne Lemieux-Després studied orchestral and choral conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg (Nuremberg University of Music) and has since accumulated European engagements.
This season, Étienne will assist Ivor Bolton for a new production of Mitridate at the Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as Gustavo Gimeno for a Wagner and Strauss gala. He will also make his debut at the Zurich Opera next season, for La clemenza di Tito conducted by Marc Minkowski.
Canadian conductor Étienne Lemieux-Després recently celebrated his debut with the Musiciens du Louvre in a Mozart concert at the Ho Guom Opera in Hanoi last August.

At our agency, LM Opéra, we have the privilege of recently representing renowned Canadian baritone STUART GRAHAM!
We are delighted to announce that Stuart teaches in France at La Roche d'Ys every summer. Experienced pianist Jeanette Aster is the Executive and Artistic Director.
Two powerful workshops and masterclass series have joined forces to nurture the collaborative singers and pianists participating in this artistic residency in the beautiful natural setting of La Roche d'Hys: the Domaine des Arts, a farm estate overlooking the rolling valleys of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy, France.
This operatic bootcamp in a country retreat setting offers high-level technical and performance coaching with an international industry perspective and is designed for advanced/professional singers and pianists who have their own repertoire program and technical/performance development goals.
This may include an audition, a recital, a concert, an operatic role, and/or competition preparation, all under the guidance of our internationally renowned faculty.
