MAYA BELGHITI

Young and prodigious 19-year-old Canadian soprano MAYA BELGHITI is currently pursuing her musical education at the Moscow Conservatory.

In 2024, she won first prize at the Spring Festival for Young Musicians in London. The following year, in 2025, she distinguished herself by winning first place in the "La Voix du Lycée Descartes" school competition.

A multiple prize winner of the "Classique Vivante" competition, she was awarded a residency at the Artek International Music Centre, where she also participated in the "L'étoile d'Artek" competition.

 

Maya will participate in the Canadian Music Competition on May 21st, as well as the Young Lyric Ambassadors Program, with a program featuring melodies and opera arias by Gabriel Fauré, Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov, "O mio babbino caro" from Giacomo Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi, the arias of Susanna and Barbarina from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, and Iolanta's aria from Tchaikovsky's opera.

Maya has performed several times at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Morocco on Victory Day, where she sang military songs. She has also performed a repertoire of patriotic songs at the Russian Center in Rabat on Russia Day and National Unity Day.

In addition, she participated in various events organized by associations in Morocco.
