Dorian Fourny, Stage Director
The young director Dorian Fourny captivates his audience with his audacious and contemporary productions. Recently, he directed " Mozart's Magic Flute (2013) and Carmen (2012) as part of the FestivalOpéra de Saint-Eustache, he will also stage “La Bohème” in January 2015 at the Salle Jean Lurçat in Jarny (France) and will resume his staging of " Mozart's Magic Flute » ( Feb 2015) at the FestivalOpéra de Saint-Eustache in collaboration with Odyscène. In March 2015, he will sign the staging of Cendrillon by Viardot in Brussels with the Orchester I Musici Brucellensis which he will then perform at the FestivalOpéra de Saint-Eustache in October 2015.
Born in 1987 in Ixelles, Belgium, Dorian Fourny, passionate about stage and audiovisual professions, studied at the Institut Sainte-Marie in Brussels (screen printing applied arts option), before continuing his studies at the Center Scolaire Ma Campaign (applied arts infographics options). In 2010, he obtained his assistant diploma in the advertising professions, before integrating work-study training in a company as stage manager, show technician (EFPME) in Brussels.
As stage manager, he collaborated in 2011 with the company Les Compagnons de l'Ermitage for "Pigeon vole" as well as for “Cenerentola” and “Lakmé” in 2013, for “Hänsel und Gretel” and “Un amour en guerre” at the Opéra de Metz-Métropole in 2014.
He was assistant director in 2008 for "La Vida breve" at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne and for "Rigoletto" as part of the Festival Musiques au cœur d'Antibes (direction Eve Ruggieri), in 2009 for “Cosi fan tutte” and for “Faust” as well as for “Les contes d'Hoffman” in 2012 as part of the Escale lyriques festival on the Ile d'Yeu.
