
DIANA AMBARTSUMIAN
Soprano
Young soprano Diana Ambartsumian, 28, graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of 2022, with honors).
Diana captivates audiences with her rich, velvety lyric soprano voice, her exceptional musicality, and her dramatic talents. She embodies the roles of operatic heroines with her romantic beauty.
Recently, she made a successful debut at the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia as Micaela in Bizet's "Carmen." She also made her debut at the Hermitage Theatre in 2023, singing the role of Zemfira in Rachmaninov's opera "Aleko."
Diana has won numerous awards, including First Prize and Special Prize for the Best Interpretation of an Aria by a Foreign Composer at the Moscow International Competition for Young Opera Singers (Russia, Moscow).
Diana received her initial musical training at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Krasnodar (Class of 2017, with honors). She then continued her studies at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow (Class of 2022, with honors). Since 2022, she has been a research assistant at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow (Class of 2025, with honors).
Diana has won numerous awards in singing competitions, including: the Gold Prize at the 33rd DPRK Spring/April Friendship Arts Festival, third prize at the Rondo International Music Competition (Malmö, Sweden, 2019), and second prize at the Musica Classica International Festival-Competition (Ruza, Russia, 2019).
She is a graduate of the World Musical Heritage International Competition (Moscow, 2021) and the Natalia Shpiller International Competition (Moscow, 2022).
