Renowned conductor Mauro Ivano Benaglia is Founder and President of the Accademia Concertante d'Archi di Milano, a renowned music production institution active since 1985.

Maestro Benaglia is currently Director of the Choir and Orchestra of the Accademia Concertante d'Archi of Milan, of the Ars Nova Polyphonic Choir and of the National Orchestra of the Italian Relief Corps of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. This Ensemble, composed of approximately 80 musicians, was created with the aim of accompanying the liturgy in the most solemn Ceremonies convened by the Order, but also to promote the activities of the Order for charitable purposes.

 

Maestro Benaglia has staged in Grand National and International Theaters and Concert Halls, in the most exclusive Italian and European Cathedrals, in three editions of the Salzburg Festival, at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at the Ponchielli in Cremona, at the Grande in Bergamo, at the Teatro La Scala in Milan, at the MusiKVerein in Vienna and at Carnegie Hall in New York.

 

With him, confirmed soloists and internationally renowned talents, youth and traditional orchestras as well as fifteen Choral Ensembles (sometimes even together) from all over Europe.

 

For the Experience acquired in the sacred musical repertoire (fifteen edition of the Concerto Mariano at the Duomo of Milan) and for his charisma and his ability to direct Large Musical Ensembles, is involved by the Archiepiscopal Curies for the production of impressive concert events with sometimes powerful organic and high impact, reaching exceptional audience attendances and the most significant concerts were produced live for the most famous record companies (Fonit Cetra, Rai Trade, Rai) and the transmissions of fifty broadcasters.

 

There are many large national and international companies such as the pharmaceutical company Bayer, Restauration Elior-Avenance, Generali, Cattolica, Pagine Gialle, Xerox, Mercedes, Breguet Montres and others, which in recent years have desired the activity of the Accademia Concertante by placing their brand alongside the projects studied by Maestro Benaglia, such as "A Stradivarius for the people" - "Uno Stradivari per la gente" fully assuming the fundamental mission: promoting Italian Musical Excellence, spokesperson for style and quality in the world.

 

Maestro Benaglia was entrusted with the Castello del Seprio in Mozzate

(Como), its current headquarters at the Accademia Concertante d’Archi in Milan for the implementation of its most exclusive musical projects.

 

Since 2015, the Rockefeller-Bellagio Center Foundation has entrusted him with the artistic direction of the “A Stradivarius for Young People” Seminar, which aims to promote the best Italian talents by encouraging their participation in major events.

 

For the great sensitivity he demonstrated in associating charitable initiatives with major musical events, he received the Croce di Cavaliere Ufficiale al Meriton Melitensi, the Knight's Cross of Merit with plaque of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order and the Prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Rotary Club International.

 

Since 2013, Maestro Benaglia and ACAM have taken their art abroad; Memorable Tour in 2013 on the occasion of the Year of Italian Culture in the United States, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, when 13 concerts took place in 20 days in the American states. Following this great success, Maestro Benaglia and his orchestra still perform today, continually planning performances in the United States: Carnegie Hall in New York to St. Patrick's Cathedral.

 

International activity has also seen the presence of the Accademia Concertante in Saint Petersburg, the island of Malta (at the invitation of the President of the Republic) and in the Prestigious MusikVerein in Vienna.
