CHRISTINA BONNELLI

SOPRANO

CHRISTINA BONNELLI impresses with her brilliant, velvety soprano lyrico-leggero voice. She holds a master’s degree from the Université de Montréal, a bachelor’s degree in musicology from the Université Grenoble Alpes, and diplomas in classical singing, choral conducting, and music theory from the conservatories of Grenoble and Lyon.

She has performed various roles, including Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Miss Pinkerton (*The Old Maid and the Thief*), and created Le Train de la Vie, a production that brought together over 120 musicians.

Trained by Nadia Jauneau-Cury and Richard Margison, she has also worked with Laurence Garcin, Maria Cristina Kiehr, Sandrine Piau, and Jean-Marc Aymes.

Among her upcoming engagements, she will perform in an operatic recital in Montreal October 23, 2026, alongside CANA and the Ensemble Obiora.

As the only musician in her family, Christina forged her musical path entirely on her own. The first woman from her home country to pursue a career in singing, she began in rap before discovering her true calling for opera and classical music. She left her country alone, facing every challenge with perseverance to pursue her dream and build her career with her own hands.

She is currently preparing to begin doctoral studies. She has directed numerous choirs—including metropolitan choral groups in France and Canada—as well as instrumental ensembles, developing an artistic approach tailored to various skill levels and repertoires. Concurrently, she has taught at several schools and conservatories.
