Maxime Martin-Vo, bass
Originally from Montreal, bass Maxime Martin-Vo completed his vocal studies at McGill University. He was recently heard in the roles of Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola) with Opera in the Park and Don Giovanni with Prague Summer Nights Opera Festival and last August 13 as Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini under the direction of maestro Jean-Michel Malouf, as part of ItalfestMTL.
He will be Soloist of Mozart's Requiem with the Hawkesbury Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Marc Trautmann, on September 18, 2022.
In recent years he has also performed several other roles, including Publio (La Clemenza di Tito), Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro), Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Marchese/Dottore (La Traviata).
Recipient of the Kenneth Woodman Scholarship from McGill University, he also distinguished himself in the final of the Canadian Music Competition in 2018, where he won first place in his category.
