Mezzo-soprano, Julie Nesrallah is an extremely versatile singer and actress who dazzles audiences with her rich voice, endearing and expressive personality. She is regularly invited by opera houses, Symphony Orchestras, Festivals and Principal Chamber Music Ensembles across North America and abroad. Her interpretation of the role of Carmen is unique and considered to be “LA CARMEN” by critics who always rave about her. Just recently, on July 1, Julie Nesrallah sang the National Anthem in duet with renowned tenor Marc Hervieux, on Canada Day. Julie Nesrallah is regularly invited all over the country with orchestras and opera houses.
Her recent scene on the balcony during the Covid19 period, where she sings "O Sole Mio" has reached an overwhelming number of views and has earned her several media interviews to this effect. In March 2015, she made her Carnegie Hall debut in New York City with harpist Caroline Leonardelli. On July 1, 2011 Madam Nesrallah sang “God Save the Queen” for His Royal Highness Prince William and Princess Her Royal Highness Kate during the Canada Day festivities in Ottawa on Parliament Hill. Madame Nesrallah also performed for “An Evening for Peace” in Montreal for Queen Noor of Jordan. She also sang for Her Royal Highness Haya in Amman, Jordan, for the foundation helping underprivileged girls to study music in Canada. Madame Nesrallah has received numerous awards including the Canada Council for the Arts. She has made several recordings and is frequently heard on Radio Canada and national radio in the United States.
Ms. Nesrallah is also a renowned radio host for the program "Tempo" on the English Radio-Canada (CBC) as well as for the program "Solo" for CBC television.
Julie Nesrallah is THE executive producer and star of "Carmen on Tap", an opera company she created and which presents Georges Bizet's opera Carmen in a dinner concert. This summer "Carmen on Tap" will debut at the Stratford Music Festival, Lula Lounge in Toronto, and with Prince Edward County Music.
